With the lovely weather over Easter
we visited the waterfront and viaduct harbour.
There were a few clouds about
but with the temperature at 28°C
we had an enjoyable walk.
It's now early Autumn and in a month or two
the days will start to draw in.
This weekend on Sunday 3rd April
Daylight Saving finishes.......
I'm thankful for such a magnificent summer
it has truly been one out of the box!
Wishing everyone, everywhere
your best summer ever too!

ReplyDeleteWhat lovely views of the harbour. Auckland is on my radar for 2018, which is when I will retire. The retirement celebration will call for a very long holiday and I have my eye on NZ. When my forebearers came to Cape Breton from Scotland, part of the family stayed on Cape Breton and part of the family got on the ship The Hector and sailed for NZ. I have always felt a connection for this reason.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Shane, looks like a wonderful Easter weekend!

Lovely. Ever since the full moon, we've had crazy windy, dusty, rainy weather. Best wishes for the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteVisiting a harbour is always a pleasant outing. Wonderful photos. The masts of boats reaching towards the sky, the variety of vessels, the birds, the sounds all combine to make a unique experience. Wonderful photos of your late summer days, Shane.
ReplyDeleteAs autumn begins and winter closes in for you, the opposite seasons begin here. It's a topsy turvy old world isn't it?
Nice pictures. I haven't been to Auckland yet (except for airport, and a business visit close to airport) It is on my list
ReplyDeleteDear Shane - Auckland looks a lovely place - here's wishing you an equally good autumn and winter too.
ReplyDeleteThe changes in our seasons around the world didn't really hit home to me until I started blogging. Obviously I knew that we had reverse seasons but it wasn't until I saw photos of flowers and life on the opposite side of the world that it had any relevance. Happy days Shane.
Auckland looks a great modern city. It is funny with the seasons, autumn there, spring here... Enjoy your nice early autumn temperatures!
ReplyDeleteI love going to the harbor here. Beautiful captures
ReplyDeleteWhat magnificent yachts!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a lovely autumn.
Dear Shane:
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely spot in the world. The water looks so lovely with all the boats. Thanks for sharing and linking from another part of the world.
Hello, wonderful views of the waterfronts and gorgeous boats. So glad you had a wonderful summer! Happy Tuesday, enjoy your day!

Such lovely views at the waterfront. Glad you had a great Summer!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful views. Sounds like a perfect summer.
ReplyDeleteSpring is on the way here. I hope you have a beautiful fall.
Dearest Shane,
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely photos indeed and so happy your Easter was such lovely weather. We had an awful wet Easter weekend with heavy rain. Just managed to get to and from Church dry!
Sending you hugs,
Mariette
What an amazing skyline, dear Shane.
ReplyDeleteIt must be wonderful to stay a day at the harbour. Watching the ships and yachts sailing by, wondering what´s their destination and when will they be there after a ride on the ocean.
Wish you another, golden summerday.
Hugs Barbara
I just love the water front views all over the world. How lovely! We are having warmer than normal weather for springtime this week. Today is the first day I have been able to open up the house. Oh the fragrance of the grass and blossoms.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful views Shane. I've always rather wished we lived at the seaside, but since we moved to the apartment at least we have a water view - even though it is only the little river that runs through our town.
