Brittany blues

My daughter sent me this photo
in August last year.

It's the beach in Brittany
where they spent their holiday last year,
but for the life of me
I can't remember the name of the town!
Just a little glitch in the memory bank
so please whatever you do,
don't mention the A or D words!

I looked back at her original email
hoping she would have written the name
but like all mothers, she is very busy
and 'on the go' with three girls
so she often emails photos without a message!

If when the name comes back to me
I'll let you know!

Thank you everyone for your visits

Today I'm joining Jeanne for
Blue Monday

Thank you so much Jeanne for
carrying on with Sally's party
I'm sure she'll be looking down on us all
to see what we're up to, don't you?

Take care and
be kind to one another

à bientôt

Shane

  1. mmmm, I could just imagine being there. I will definitely have to watch for you to name this town because I visited quite a few places in the Bretagne area where my aunt and uncle used to live.

  2. Such pretty blue. I'd say this would make a great water color painting! How thoughtful of your daughter to even just send a photo--it says she's thinking of you.

  3. I find that when I can't remember something, I give my brain a rest from thinking about it and all of a sudden, it comes back to me. It is such a good feeling.

  4. My memory's not so good either. Scary sometimes the things I forget. No blue here. We've had clouds for days and now dust. Bleh! Have a good rest of the week.

  7. At first I thought that it looked like Varengeville-sur-mer with the little church sitting on top of the cliffs, but then realised that you said Brittany. This is in Haute Normandy - same bit of lovely coast but higher up.

  8. Hi Shane, I was happy to see your link this morning. The Brittany beach photo looks like a lovely place to vacation. The name of the town doesn't really matter. Smile.

Thank you so much for joining the new Blue Monday at Backyard Neighbor. Sally would be pleased to see such a great number of participants and so am I.

    Happy Blue Monday.

Dear Shane I use the "O" word to explain the interruptions in data retrieval from my memory ;-)

  17. It's a beautiful spot for a vacation. And the fact that you can't tell us the name might save it for those who want some privacy!

  20. Glad to hear that I'm not the only one who suffers from 'mental pause' (or, as my kids are fond of saying, brain farts). Beautiful photo, no matter where it was taken!
