ANTIQUE LINEN AND LACE

A very exciting parcel
arrived last week!!
When I saw the Honolulu postmark

my heart skipped a beat....

Recently I ordered a bundle of estate linen and lace
from Just Lilla.

It included Cluny lace, Reticella, both bobbin and needle lace

and Swiss eyelet lace - all pre 1940.....

just look at this beautiful label - I love Lilla's eye for detail
Inside the bag were these treasures......

Old linen and lace from France and Belgium....

I ask you what more could a girl want....

My favourite piece - a very fine, delicate doilly and

I wonder whose clever hands made it

At last I've taken some photos of my journal!

Remember a few weeks back I told you about Carole's on-line Journal Class.

It has been such an enjoyable class of learning the basic

techniques of making a journal.

I've found the process very therapeutic and relaxing!!!

Just what I needed having retired in April!

It involved some sewing, so I was re-united with my

sewing machine after a long absence!!

I also got to splash paint, tea and coffee about with gay abandon!!

This is the first of three signatures (pages that make up a book).

Surprise, surprise it has a French theme!!!!!

A Walk in the Park

It's been a gloomy Sunday here downunder.

Our spirits needed a lift so........

we went for a walk and LOOK what we

found and picked along the way..

after encountering these 89 steps!!

PHEW can you hear me puffing!!
