My darling family
have been and gone.....and
I'm just getting back on my feet!
Forgive me dear readers
for being AWOL for sooo long!!!
Every moment was so precious.
From the moment we collected
them from the airport
I knew
we had to make the most of
every minute
Remember the twin Horace bears
I bought for the girls months back?
They loved them to bits.
And here is Horace #1
(or is he Horace #2)
who knows!!!!
Whichever - the girls decided to
feminise him with some
of their Bling - isn't he gorgeous!!!
I set up my own
"Spa for Granddaughters"
and we had a very fun
pampering day!!
We also had a wonderful
10 days up north
swimming and kayaking
swimming and kayaking
every day
and always monitored by
Johnathan!
I took this photo at
Kelly Tarlton's
Underwater World.
It's a silhouette
with Auckland city in
the background
(sorry no faces)!!
but, in the blink of an eye,
it was time to say
Au revoir
to my precious French family..
to my precious French family..
I watched their plane
until it was no longer
a speck in the sky and
went home to a very
empty and silent
house.....
Welcome and thank you
to all my new followers,
I will be visiting you all
soon.
Apologies to my regular readers
for my long absence,
I hope you haven't totally
given up on me...
Be kind to one another
and
LOVE LIFE!!
Shane
Hi Shane! So glad to see you are back and had a wonderful time with your family. My, you have away awhile. Time just flies. Our internet hasn't been working properly since the sand storm on Wednesday of last week so although I've tried to blog, haven't been able to. It's only been 3 days so far and I feel like I've been away forever. So much happens in such a short time. Look forward to visiting you again. Best wishes always, Tammy (tsdailytreasures)

Hi Shane,
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see you back.
What a lovely time you must have had with your dear French family and yes hard when it is time for them to go back. It must have been beautiful to all be together as a family.
Hope that it won't be long before you are able to go back and see them or they come out again.
Sending hugs and wishing you a great week ahead,
Hugs
Carolyn
Sounds like you had a fabulous time! It must have been so hard to have them leave. You'll have to start planning for the next visit!
ReplyDeleteShane, I knew you were going to be busy with your lovely family. What a special time it must have been.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you will be able to visit the lovely part of France that they are in.
Oh what a wonderful time you must have had Shane and yes I just loved seeing Horace the bear decorated with jewels! That is just the sort of thing my twin girls love to do. Seeing the pictures of Auckland is bringing back all the memories of our recent trip to NZ. It is hard when family lives so far away. My mother in the UK is 81 and has only met two of her grandsons on our trips back home. They were only toddlers then. I know she would have loved to meet her other grandchildren but her fear of travel and the unfamiliar has prevented this from happening and now she is too frail. I enter every competition that has an overseas travel prize - my sister and her husband in the UK are soon off to St Lucia for an all expenses paid holiday in a exclusive resort - their prize in a competition they entered in the local newspaper! So it does happen - just not to me - yet!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Shane, so glad you had a special visit from your family. Love the bear in bling. xox Corrine
ReplyDeleteOh how wonderful that you got to have precious family time, do grandma spa days, kayak & swim, decorate the bears and just be.....my mum would be just like you watching the plane until it disappeared!!! We 3 girls all went to boarding school for our senior school years and every time we returned to school after hoidays my mum would go very very quiet and dad would just have to leave her alone for a couple of days...I so appreciate what they did for us all. So glad to have you back in my blog world, love & laughter to you Shane, TK xx
ReplyDeleteSo glad you all had a wonderful time!
