This is the pretty card my friend Rose
sent for my birthday.
A heart shaped garland of hydrangea flowers,
gypsophila and berries.
My new watch - a present to myself!
I'm relishing every bloom my rose gives me
as Autumn approaches.
In past years I've had roses until the end of May.
The April copy of New Zealand House and Garden
and
a packet of yummy salted caramels from
France.
Early morning walk on Kohimaramara beach.
I'm joining
Amy for Five on Friday
Karen for Sunlit Sunday
Judith for Mosaic Monday
Bernideen for BTTCG
and
Stephanie for Roses of Inspiration
Thank you for your comments
Take care and
be kind to one another
à bientôt

What a gorgeous heart shaped garland from your friend Rose - hopefully you may be able to dry it and keep it forever. It sounds as if you had a lovely birthday.
ReplyDeleteVery elegant watch. It's good to give presents to oneself. Lovely garland on that card. I 'm late but birthday congratulations! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a wonderful week it was! Such dreamy, romantic photos. :)
ReplyDeleteBelated Happy Birthday to you, dear Shane!
PS As to your question, I use a Canon EOS 450D and take most of my photos using a Canon EF-S 55–250mm f/4–5.6 IS lens.
Have a lovely new week!
Happy belated Birthday, sweetest Shane, and thank you for sharing these so lovely moments in your last week !
ReplyDeleteMay your new week be filled with love and joy, darling friend,
sending gentle hugs to you
Dany

A beautiful card and great photos. A belated happy birthday to you. The first day of spring has dawned cooler than it has been but we have some nice spring bushes and trees blooming. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteThe wreath is spectacular and I love your new watch! I'd say you had quite the week!
ReplyDeleteLovely moments -that wreath is fabulous - and the rose is wonderful - I can almost smell it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday Shane! Your wreath is just gorgeous and I like the style of your new watch. Wear it in good health!
ReplyDeleteLove the pretty card with the heart garland and your new watch is a beauty. Happy Birthday by the way! This week I will have mine! Such a soft pretty rose. The beach looks like a soothing place to be especially in the morning. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI'd be tempted to decorate a room around that card!
ReplyDeleteThe beach is lovely - and reminiscent of our Willows Beach, where I walk every day. So many beaches are wild and remote and this one, with its urban views seems like a pretty place to walk.
So it was your birthday, too. A very happy birthday to you. Nice gift to yourself! I enjoyed your 5 and sunlit photos!
ReplyDeleteDoes autumn arrive on the very same day that spring arrives in the northern hemisphere? I always love autumn, but feel some trepidation. Comes with the territory in a northern clime. May you have roses blooming well into autumn and beyond. They are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteShane, that card is gorgeous! Love the wreath!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great week - love the watch, the rose (love it all!!)
ReplyDeleteDearest Shane,
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Birthday to you!
Beautiful card, lovely rose and elegant watch you show us here.
Enjoy the remainder of blooms for weeks to come, I hope.
Hugs,
Mariette
Beautiful photos! A belated Happy Birthday to you Shane. And, Happy Easter to you!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam
The presents you give yourself are the best because at least you get what you want! Enjoy your roses as long as you can.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday dear Shane and how beautiful the sweet card is with the heart garland. Love your new watch and lovely when you can pick something for yourself.
ReplyDeleteYour rose is pretty too and a walk along the beach is the best.
Enjoy your week and have a happy Easter
hugs
Carolyn
Oh for a walk on the beach right there. Your rose is gorgeous. I hope you have roses until the end of May. Our first rose bud has just made an appearance and should bloom in another week. I am excited! What a sweet card too. Yummm! Candy from France. What a special week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card! I also like your new watch's simple but elegant style.
ReplyDeleteShane, my security WebRoot usually will no longer allow me to leave a comment, but I am going to try again this morning. Your shares are lovely~
ReplyDeleteShane, that is a stunning flower wreath! Thank you for sharing so we can enjoy it too. Your rose is gorgeous, especially in that vase. Happy belated birthday!!
ReplyDeleteDear Shane:
ReplyDeleteYour potpouri of photos are lovely and especially your rose. I find it so amazing the difference in seasons where you are. Today is was in the 70's here in Missouri and back in Colorado where we left last week - they are having a blizzard today. I loved your post and thank you for linking and sharing.
Dear Shane:
ReplyDeleteThis post was featured today on my Saturday Special Features! Congratulations!
Happy Belated Birthday to you, Shane. It's always a treat to receive a beautiful card from a friend. Your rose is beautiful. Perhaps mine will start by the times yours have finished for the season.
