Hello dear friends
one of my favorite meeting places with friends is
The FlorenTine Tea Rooms
It has a certain old time elegance
which I love
and a collection of pretty mis-matched china
all the rage now.
I enjoy drinking my tea from
a fine bone china cup - don't you?
A small delicious club sandwich
followed by a yummy cake
topped with yoghurt or cream
is my usual choice.
Pretty cake stands waiting to be filled
with delicacies.
Water glasses sitting on
a vintage etched mirror
Today I'm joining these tea parties
Ruth at Tuesday Cuppa Tea
Terri at Tea Cup Tuesday
Kathy at A Return to Loveliness
Bernideen at Friends Sharing Tea
Do pop over for some old time elegance
for all things tea!

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tea room, Shane! Thank you for sharing all the beautiful things there.
ReplyDeleteI will pray for Madelief, as I know what it's like to lose a hubby to cancer.
I hope your knee gets better soon. xxoo
That tearoom looks priceless to me; roses, mis-matched china and scrumptious cakes too!
ReplyDeleteI was heartbroken on reading Madelief's terrible news. I have witness, since Jan's cancer was diagnosed a year ago, Madelief's determination to stay upbeat and cheery on her stunning blog without letting anything of her torment slip. She is an amazing lady.

Tea rooms such as you've featured are so charming - love the mismatched china and the glassware. Pretty is good for the soul.
ReplyDeleteHello Shane,
ReplyDeleteOh that looks like somewhere I would love to visit one day! I have a cup and saucer in that same scalloped shape. Yes, mismatched china is so popular and I hope it remains so for the sake of my business! I set up a high tea for 90 people at a historic property at a wedding on the weekend. The china looked so lovely set out 'en masse'. We also served the tea which meant we were busy but being able to see the reaction of the bride and groom and their guests was very special. I am providing china for a christening in a couple of weeks and very excited to see it featured in a styling feature in a bridal magazine which comes out this week. I will send you the link to the online version when it goes live!
Beautiful pictures of a gorgeous tea room Shane. Just love all the old vintage china & that cake looks delicious. So sorry to hear your knee is still giving you bother, do hope the Dr sorts it out for you my friend. x0x
