Impasse Clément

Hello dear friends
I'm back in France today
photographically (not in person sadly)!

My daughter lives in a pretty village
wonderful for taking photographs
on my walks around the village.

I was surprised by this "Welcome" sign
rather than "Bienvenue" which I have at my home!

I wish I could adequately describe the colour
of the gates and fence...
they are a soft pink, silvery grey
indescribably beautiful in me eyes.

Today I'm joining
Mary for Mosaic Monday
and

In New Zealand we are having fickle Spring
weather - warm one day and wet, windy and
cold the next.
Very frustrating when I'm wanting to spend
more time in the garden!

Thank you everyone for your visits and comments

Grey furry visitors.....

Hello dear friends
we've got new neighbours
and recently they jumped over the fence
to say hello!

Isn't he just so handsome
sadly he hasn't got a collar
so I don't know what his name is.

We haven't replaced our last cat
as we are bird lovers.

I still like cats but decided I would like to encourage
birds into my garden.

I feed them daily and enjoy their company.
It's fascinating watching their antics
especially when they are playing
in the bird bath!

Each time I'm weeding the garden
a little Blackbird visits
waiting for me to unearth a worm or two!
He/she is very tame and obviously
feels safe around me.
I don't want to lose my feathered friend.

So here's my dilemma
I think all cats should have a collar with
their name and their owners phone number
and most importantly
a bell attached
to alert the local birds of their presence.

What are your thoughts?

Chinese Flower Tea

Every second Tuesday is our group's
Embroidery day.
It's a small group - just four of us now.

These photos are from one such day about a year
or so ago at Mary's.

The Chinese flowers before
they are added to the tea pot.

It is fascinating to watch the flower unfold.

Changing little by little to become an
amazing work of art!

It has a delicate taste - much like a soft green tea.

I love tea parties so today I'm joining
the following parties

Martha ~ Teacup Tuesday
Bernideen ~ Friends Sharing Tea

Eden Gardens - tulips...

Hello dear friends
as many of you already know
I live down under in
New Zealand

where it is now
Spring time.
I took these photos at
Eden Gardens here

It is a 5 acre garden in central Auckland
containing a large collection of
plants and shrubs beneath
a canopy of huge old trees.
Camellias, Vireya Rhododendrons, Azaleas,
Roses and perennials which provide
year round interest.

my favorite party
over at Vee's blog

Please pop over and say hello,
while you're at it
why don't you join in - it's fun!

It's easy peasy

use four photographs that would make
a nice set of note cards -
with at least one photograph that has
already appeared on your blog
by the time you link up -
that's it!

I'm also joining
Claudia
of
for
A Favorite Thing Saturday
(that is if she has time in between
her very busy life - she is currently away

Windows and Doors Photo Challenge

I have blogging to thank for my
interest in photography.
Hardly a day goes by that I'm not
out there with my camera!

It has also increased my awareness of the
world around me.
I've become a 'people watcher' and
a 'bird watcher'.
I also love capturing the seasons
as we move through the year.

I couldn't resist this one - peeping from her hide away!

All the photos were taken while I was in France!
I use a very basic 'point and shoot'
digital Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3
with a Leica lens.

I take most photos on 'normal picture'
mode.

I'm joining Donna for her
Personal Photo challenge
where the topic this month is
windows and doors.
Do pop over and join in!
 Thank you Donna for hosting!

Grey deys in France...

Any day in France is exciting for me
and grey days are no exception.

of old parisian buildings
and weathered shutters.
