The Golden Days of Spring 2019

A lovely New Zealand native Kowhai tree in
Cornwall Park.
The flowers nectar is a food source for birds
especially two of our native birds

Kereru (a large wood pigeon)

Tui, called the Parson Bird
because it has a white tuft at it's neck
resembling a Parson's collar!

I enjoyed my walk in Cornwall Park
to see the
the golden daffodils and kowhai flowers.
True to Spring
there were new lambs and calves too!

Take care and
be kind to one another.
My thoughts are with all those in the
Bahamas and the US
affected by Hurricane Dorian.
The damage and chaos is horrific.
You are very much in the thoughts of all
New Zealanders and we are sending
our prayers your way.
Take care.
Mary and Bob, I was so happy to read
Mary's post and know you are both safe.

Merci à bientôt

Glimpses of Spring 2018

Spring
is
waking to the sound of birdsong each morning
and
looking out through my kitchen window
to see my garden coming alive again!

Spring
is
Rosebuds unfolding into
beautiful blooms

Spring
is
Cherry blossom trees in the park
and
carpets of petals beneath the trees.

Wishing
you all a happy and enjoyable weekend
in your little corner of the world!

Take care and
be kind to one another

Spring is in the air.....

Hello dear friends
It has been so long since my last post
almost a year....
So no doubt you all gave upon me a long time ago!

I have missed you all....
I am on Instagram as some of you know.
IG is not so time consuming as writing a post
and editing photos.
Having said that I have missed blogging
and I hope I can put up at least
one weekly post... time will tell!

Changeable
weather over the last couple of weeks
sunny and warm one day
cold and wet the next!
…it’s
Springtime
in my neck of the woods!

New Zealand Kowhai Tree

Recently headed up to

Cornwall Park
to find Spring Inspiration
it is one of my favourite places to walk

As you can see by the photo above

the farmer has a flock of black sheep.
They are such characters
in fact very nosey
and race over to the fence as soon as we appear!

Well I won't ramble on or this won't get posted!
Can someone please recommend a good
photo editing program.
I used to use Pixlr but it has changed
and I found it too complicated for me!

be kind to one another

New Lambs and Daffodils

On my walk in Cornwall Park on Saturday
there were new lambs everywhere!
They look so very cute keeping very close to their mums.

Spring is just around the corner...
I can't wait for the warmer weather
and longer days.

Thank you everyone for your comments

TAG TUESDAY - SHOES

Hello dear friends
it's late Sunday and it has been a perfect Spring day.
Deep blue sky, sunshine but a cool breeze.

I sat in the courtyard where it was sheltered
and watched the birds at play
and thought of my family in France!

I've just joined the group
where the prompt this week was
SHOES.

I decided to create a
Cinderella themed tag.
I found a book page on the net here
then I cut out a shoe image
and painted and glittered it
to resemble Cinderella's glass slipper!

Please hop over to Tag Tuesday blog here
and see how everyone else interpreted
this weeks prompt.

Wishing you all a happy day
thank you for visiting.

Forget-me-not.....

Hello dear friends
I'm running late today...
after having computer issues yesterday.

You may remember I recently bought
a new laptop.

Yesterday, I wanted to print off some images
to make tags and cards
only to find my printer won't talk
to my computer - or the other way around!

I would have thought because they are both HP
products, they could have been a little nicer
to each other - but no.

Needless to say, much time was wasted...
for instance
I should have been writing this post.

So today I'm joining
Mary for Mosaic Monday
with my images of the white For-get-me-nots
that pop up in my garden each Spring.
They are in a bed which also contains six "Iceberg" roses.

I've just popped into the garden where it's windy & raining to take these photos
in case you weren't familiar with the Iceberg rose!

Thank you dear friends for reading my posts
and leaving your comments!

WELCOME
to my new followers - thank you for being here!

Impasse Clément

Hello dear friends
I'm back in France today
photographically (not in person sadly)!

My daughter lives in a pretty village
wonderful for taking photographs
on my walks around the village.

I was surprised by this "Welcome" sign
rather than "Bienvenue" which I have at my home!

I wish I could adequately describe the colour
of the gates and fence...
they are a soft pink, silvery grey
indescribably beautiful in me eyes.

Today I'm joining
Mary for Mosaic Monday
and

In New Zealand we are having fickle Spring
weather - warm one day and wet, windy and
cold the next.
Very frustrating when I'm wanting to spend
more time in the garden!

Thank you everyone for your visits and comments
and welcome to my new followers
it's lovely to meet you!

Eden Gardens - tulips...

Hello dear friends
as many of you already know
I live down under in
New Zealand

where it is now
Spring time.
I took these photos at
Eden Gardens here

It is a 5 acre garden in central Auckland
containing a large collection of
plants and shrubs beneath
a canopy of huge old trees.
Camellias, Vireya Rhododendrons, Azaleas,
Roses and perennials which provide
year round interest.

ALMOST BACK IN BUSINESS!

Springtime in Cornwall Park

Oh my goodness
I never imagined it would take me
so long to decide on a new computer..

..but I needed to be sure that
what I bought would tick all the boxes
for my diverse needs.

I told my computer man
what I wanted to do
and he came up with an
HP TouchSmart Sleekbook
that he has tweeked to give
me super-fast net surfing
and also do my business accounts.
I pick it up tomorrow
so I'll give you a quick preview then!

Isn't this little one adorable?

I'm so appreciative to everyone

who stopped by.
Thank you for your advice,
suggestions,
telling me about your set-ups
and all your encouraging words.

I knew if I put out the call
my dear bloggy friends would respond!

I weighed up the pros and cons.
Those of you who recommended
I stay with a laptop
for my business + blogging needs
YOU
were right!!!

THANK YOU

I'll be back in business tomorrow
and hope that I'm not too late
to join in
Vee's Note Card Party!

À bientôt

be kind to one another
