Autumn colours and Autumn light
filtering through the trees
"When Autumn leaves start to fall"
makes me think of the beautiful song by
Nat King Cole.
(I tried to insert musical notes here, to no avail.
If you know how to do this could you please let me know)!
Morning Glory is everywhere - climbing banks, trees and
anything else it can find.
On Thursday our embroidery group met at Rose's home
which meant a drive from Auckland to Hamilton.
As always we had such an enjoyable time
catching up on each others news.
Rose made a delicious chocolate cake topped with
Red Kiwifruit and strawberries and we
had whipped cream on the side!
I hope you've all had an enjoyable week too!
I'm joining

Thank you all for your visits!

I am thinking how lovely the Spring is and how much I am enjoying it, and then I see your lovely Autumn pictures and remember the wonderful colours and how gorgeous it is too - our world is very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNice photos, especially that top one. Mind you I hadn't thought about kiwifruit on chocolate cake either, must try it.

Your autumn is beautiful Shane! I love the gate photo.
ReplyDeleteA lovely gate, leaves, a wonderful address, floral carpet and yummy calories!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Shane! What a pretty post. I love the filtered light in the first photo. The morning glory is wonderful. They just grow where they want! And the cake -- oh,my! My mouth is watering. I love embroidery... just what I need (not) another group!!!!!!! Have a fun week!
ReplyDeleteYour week has been a good one. Love all the photos. Have a blessed day and a wonderful weekend. Madeline

I forget that I can be enjoying springtime and some one else might be enjoying the fall season.
ReplyDeleteBeautuful Autumn pictures Shane . . .
And the Blue Morning Glories.

I always enjoy the lovely moments from your week. The cake looks delicious and I love the morning glory! Seeing the leaves is lovely because although we are going into spring, I love autumn too! Thank you for joining Five On Friday, I hope you are having a good weekend. Sorry to be late visiting, I have been otherwise occupied as I said in my post. xx
ReplyDeleteBetween the two of us we are enjoying the best of the year. The picture of the wooden door in the hedge is lovely. I can't resist a gate - at our old Pondside House there were nine gates to open and close and I knew and loved each one.
ReplyDeleteGreat post Shane. Love all the wonderful pictures you took.
ReplyDeleteThat cake looks so good, wish I had a piece right now.
Enjoy your weekend.
Mary
It takes awhile for my brain to get around the seasonal difference between us. But oh, these are such lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Shane, oh my, that cake looks exquisite. Hope you enjoyed your "stitchery" day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous looking cake - Yum! I remember the Autumn Leaves song, and used to play it on the piano. Beautiful memories! Wasn't Nat King Cole great? Such a smooth voice. xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. That cake makes me want to be a better baker. Thanks for the brief glimpse into your world.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and that cake looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteHello, the garden gate is a pretty scene. I love the morning glories. The chocolate cake looks delicious. Lovely post and images. Happy Sunday, enjoy your new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI love those morning glories and always think it a shame they have such a short bloom period, at least here they do, before the frost gets them. The house number 7B is lovely and really stands out. Our spring weather is a mixed bag still although everything is greening up fast now and blooming too. I hope you have a lovely week ahead Shane. xx Pam
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos of your week and autumn. It seems like we just can't catch up to you (seasons). :-)
ReplyDeleteThe morning glories are pretty, and so is that cake! Yummy!
ReplyDeleteDearest Shane,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post with special photos!
As for the musical notes, let me try if it works from my Ultra Character Map that I purchased from the Apple store.
🎼🎶🎶
You have to keep in mind to keep an additional space when pasting them as it jumps back one spot; thus erasing something.
Wishing you a blessed 2nd Pentecost.
Hugs,
Mariette
