March has flown by in a flash - quite scarey really.
Because I've been working full time
there just haven't been enough hours in the day!
I'm finding it hard to remember what I've done -
not many social occasions as you can see!
However starting at the top left, we had a darling
little 3 year old called Alex pop in for a visit -
her Daddy is our Production Manager at work.
She was very interested in everything in the office
and happily played with some paper and felts!

I won the beautiful peace angel giveaway on Julies blog.
The cute little picnic scene was Julie's card
and the Gardener's Soap was a gift from her too!
Thank you again dear Julie!
We walked past 'Soul' restaurant on our way
to the boat that took us out on the harbour,
a very sad day as it was the memorial
service for Cheryl, 39 year old daughter
of my friend Ruth
who lost her six year battle to cancer.

On a lighter note the following Saturday
my friend Thelma and I had lunch at a great
french cafe in Devonport.
I made a simple pasta dish with the orecchiette
for dinner one night and forgot to photograph it!!
Katie at work on St Patrick's Day
when we all wore green.
A board in the french cafe
cute little cottages in Devonport
our dinghy in the shed where
my husband is restoring our old classic launch!
Other things happened but my camera was at home!
I'm joining Cheryl for her monthly party
maybe you would like to join us and
show us what you've been doing in March!
Thank you Cheryl for hosting
your party where we can look back
and see what happened to the month that was!

Wishing you a very happy week
with some warm Spring weather for my friends
in the Northern Hemisphere
I get the feeling
enough is enough!!!
Take care and be kind to one another
Merci à bientôt

ReplyDeleteOh and you have gathered some tender moments...the ones that made you smile and the ones that made you feel sad. Such a loss for your friend. May she know comfort.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cutie pie Alex is! Bet that she brings a spot of cheer wherever she is.

ReplyDeleteShane, it seems that your month of March was quite full! Full of working, yes, but also full of little "moments." I am sorry for your friend's heart wrenching loss. It is good to see that you had joyful moments as well.

ReplyDeleteLots of memorable moments in March...say that 3 times fast. Little Alex, what a cutie! The "Peace Angel" will be a nice addition to your home. I could have used some of the Gardener's Soap yesterday, as Spring seems to have finally sprung, bringing lots of outdoor work.

ReplyDeleteIt's so lovely (and important!) to remember the special happy moments that come to us, Shane. You're so wise to collect them this way. Sadly, the days do slip by so quickly when work pulls you out of the house. I'm counting the days until summer when I can be at home all the time! Wishing you lovely days ahead.

Take care of yourself as you have the hectic schedule.
A month full of the mixed joy and sorrow that is life. It's hard when someone so young passes away.

ReplyDeleteDearest Shane,
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute 3-year old is like spring itself and it does cheer us up.
Spring is unfolding here nicely and the weather great; if we only would have a steady internet connection...
Hugs,
Mariette
