Little and Friday
they bake the most divine
tarts - both sweet and savoury.
So, when my friend Carol
was visiting from the UK
I couldn't wait to take her there!
I told her she had to try
one of their famous
to die for
cream donuts.
We shared one between us, as we also
had a piece of their
Caramelised Onion Tart.
Everything is served on pretty
china plates.
They have large old kitchen tables
which you share with others.
It's a convivial atmosphere.
Beautiful baking
in the Little and Friday
cookbook - I would love a copy
but do I really need
another cookbook?!!!
Speaking of cook books
there is a new cookbook out by
The Mennonite Girls called
"Mennonite Girls Can Cook Celebrations"
and they are giving away a copy
so head over to their blog now
to enter!
It's Monday so I'm joining
Mary for Mosaic Monday!
and
Bernideen on Friend's Sharing Tea Tuesday
Do pop over and say hello!
À bientôt
and be kind to one another
hugs
Shane ♥

My kind of place to go to with a friend Shane. They certainly do serve decadent things to have with a cup of tea.

It sounds like the loveliest place. I love the green table and the fancy china.
ReplyDeleteThat was not very nice of you to put a picture of the wonderful cream donut and then the onion tart. I am drooling and I just gained weight looking at them.
ReplyDeleteWe have a place in town with wonderful treats that I make a point of totally avoiding and I have told me son to stop bringing me treats when he visits. But thankfully he never listens to me.
Little and Friday looks like a lovely place to take a friend. Gorgeous cakes and tarts with pretty decor and convivial company sounds very special and relaxing. x
ReplyDeleteOh Shane,
ReplyDeleteThose look so yummy and that cook book looks amazing, I will have to see if it is available here..
Glad you are having such a lovely April!

Oh I do love those cake stands and cake plates and everything about that cafe! I was in town yesterday and had coffee and the most delectable citrus tart at a cafe. It was a modern cafe and the tart was served on a plain white plate. It really deserved to be served on on a pretty china plate! That is my kind of cafe and both those cook books appeal to me but do I need any more recipe books is a question I often ask myself too!
ReplyDeleteElegant, lovely and delish photos for mm ~ ^_^
ReplyDeleteHi Shane,
ReplyDeleteHow lovely that you could take your friend to this beautiful cafe. The food looks delicious and served on pretty plates is wonderful. The book looks beautiful too.
Wishing you a happy week
hugs
Carolyn
I love places like that, and thank you for sharing. The cream donut looks mouth-watering! Love those mint-green tables, and the pretty china.
ReplyDeleteShane you've really made my mouth water. Everything looks wonderful there, from the food to the fittings!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been out to anywhere like that for the longest time.
Hugs and smiles! xx
How lovely! I wish we had more places like that to go where I lived. That little tart made my mouth water this morning! :)
ReplyDeleteOh YUM what a beautiful and delicious spot to linger longer with a special friend!
ReplyDeleteNow I'm hungry and have a big case of wanderlust thank you very much dear Shane ;)
