Christmas cards from France
Hello dear friends!
Today I thought I would show you
some of the Christmas cards our
darling daughter has sent us
over the twelve years
she has been living in France.
The card above is this years one.
It is difficult for her to find
Christmas cards in the country
town near her.
There are no boxed sets
so each year I send her a box of
'Save the Children'
cards in one of the parcels!
She made this little angel card
from a crossstitch she worked
it's one of my favourites!
"Magic at Midnight"
A very beautiful card
depicting the essence of
CHRISTMAS
I hope you've enjoyed seeing
a few of my precious cards.
Today
I'm linking to Claudia for

Merry Christmas. These cards are so very beautiful. I adore the cross stitch and understand why it is precious to you.
ReplyDeleteHi Shane. Lovely cards - you are like me, I keep everyone from my family, and sometimes, I come across the ones the children gave me when they were little - the home-made ones are especially precious.
ReplyDeleteThe French don't really send Christmas cards - they usually send New Year cards, and often in post card format not folding, often only to people they won't actually see or visit during the festivities. They also send them right up to the end of January, so if you get one after the 1st, no need to think you were an after thought!
Happy Christmas to you and your family. x
The cards from your daughter are sweet Shane. The cross stitched angel is just adorable.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas

Lovely cards Shane. I keep every Christmas card I get from my family in France and display them in a basket during the holiday. Your angel card is beautiful, especially with the shimmering gold stitching. Je te souhaite un joyeux noel et bonne annee de loin!

ReplyDeleteI keep cards too and what lovely ones you have. Happy Christmas. xx
ReplyDeleteShane, having lived over in Switzerland for four years, some time ago, I know the difficulty your daughter has in finding cards. Cards that have the charm we are used to in this country. But that is the beauty of living overseas... you grow to appreciate another's point of view AND you learn to create a replacement. Just as your daughter has done. These are treasures and keepsakes! Thanks for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your visits & friendship through this past year Shane..you are such a treasure! Merry Christmas!! With much love Catherine x0x0x
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun to see cards from all over the world? These are wonderful!
