Sandspit Fences

Last weekend we drove north to Sandspit
to see the new marina development.
It was a gorgeous mild Autumn day
I packed a picnic lunch which we enjoyed
after a little walk along the spit.

Marina arms A and B are complete and the
pontoons are currently being manufactured
and floated for C, D and E arms.

Also at Sandspit is a ferry service to Kawau Island
in the Hauraki Gulf.

Kawau is 45km north of Auckland
and is a favourite destination for yachties and boaties
at weekends over the summer months.

I'm joining Tex for Good Fences

Take care and

  3. Ihadn't realised there was a new marina being put in. My husband spent a lot of time there as a child as his parents had a bach at Point Wells.

  4. Love your images from Sandspit, a lovely spot. I really like the second to last shot, the clear shallow water and the darker, deeper water.
