I spent yesterday in the countryside
meeting with clients.
My job is in the dairy industry
and I love getting out of the office
and meeting them on farm.
It was a balmy Summery day
even though the calendar says differently
and we are officially in Autumn.
It also gave me the opportunity
to take some photos to share with you here!
I'm joining Tex for Good Fences.
Just letting you know I'm still researching cameras
so I'm very interested in your recommendations.
I'm looking for a camera with a great lens
that can capture good detail of a distant landscape
as well as taking close ups
of flowers, insects and birds.
I know I may need a separate lens for close-ups.
Take care and
be kind to one another
à bientôt
Shane
Hello Shane, lovely landscapes and fence shots. I like the cute cow. It is great you are able to work outside of the office. Happy Thursday, enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteHello Shane, what lovely pictures of the green countryside, always a feature in NZ. Can you believe, it is almost 12 months since we went to Auckland and met up with you? Time flies, such happy memories. xox
ReplyDeleteAll of us people who worked indoors and longingly looked out the windows on beautiful days and wished they could escape our desks are jealous of your job.
ReplyDeleteVisiting farms in the countryside would be a favorite part of a job for me too. Such nice photos!
ReplyDeleteOh, it would be awfully nice to get out of the office and down on the farm! What wonderful views!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteBeautiful views of the farmland and fences. The Great Dane's father was in the dairy business, and The Great Dane himself worked during the high school years in a dairy. The children and I have learned never, ever to give an opinion on ice cream, cream milk etc due to the risk of a very long talk on the subject! (He became an engineer, but dairy was his passion!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fence and countryside photos. You are lucky to be able to visit clients outdoors, better than all the time in the office.
ReplyDeletebeautiful countryside. i grew up in wisconsin (america's dairyland). hardworking folks, those dairy farmers. :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful views with nice fences Shane. I've always added one versatile lens to my camera that goes from close ups to distance. 18-270mm I'm too lazy to change from a close range lens to a distance lens.
ReplyDeleteOh the back roads of New Zealand brings back memories of driving roads such as this many years ago.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are great
ReplyDeleteIt looks so peaceful

ReplyDeleteGreat snaps.
Have a Happy Weekend!

You have the perfect job in my book! I really hated working in an office all day even though I could go home to the dairy farm. Love the cow!
ReplyDeleteWonderful fences and country scenes. Is it me or does that tree in the last shot remind anyone of a "horse head?"
ReplyDeleteDearest Shane,
ReplyDeleteHappy for you to have a field day with such perfect autumn weather.
Sending you hugs,
Mariette

Such peaceful country roads and lovely pictures. About the camera.....I have a Canon Power Shot, and the zoom-in lens is amazing. Jess has a Canon Rebel, and her close-ups always captivate me. Hope that helps.

I love that fence - it would be fun to recreate in fabric I think.
