Part of the joy of staying with
my family in France
is sharing their
day to day activities.
One such activity is "looking in"
on the girl's weekly
ballet lesson.
Ballet is a wonderful discipline
for girls.
It teaches them
graceful movement
beautiful carriage
and deportment.
A love of the arts.
Be kind to one another

Ah! this is a beautiful post Shane .... France and ballet go together so perfectly .... how wonderful that you can spend time with family while soaking up that delightful French culture.
ReplyDeleteI love the sight of those little ballerina's. my granddaughter used to dance when she was a little girl. Than she did street dance( I think) and how she is busy with field hockey. As long as they do sports they are alright. Have a nice week.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post Shane...of course you miss that !!...love from me...xxx..
ReplyDeleteSweet photos of the ballet lessons and concert bring back happy memories of my own daughters' and grand daughter's dancing days. Our second daughter still enjoys dancing classes (not ballet) and we go to theatrical productions together now and again.
ReplyDeleteHave a peaceful,creative week!

ReplyDeleteLast night I watched a program on the Knowledge network about a group trying to authenticate a painting believed to be by Degas (it turned out it was!) and through the show they discussed several of his paintings. I love his work, and the ballet and your post delighted me so much - thank you!
