I am an admirer and follower of professional
mixed media artist Caterina Giglio
of La Dolce Vita.
I find I am drawn to her art, it has such
a depth of meaning in each piece.

Caterina's very generous giveaway is one place
in her current on-line classes called "Transfer Love".

This offer ends on Sunday 15th August, so please
hurry over to her blog here and leave a comment
on that post to enter the giveaway draw. Good luck!

Caterina was recently published in the Summer 2010
issue of "Sew Somerset".
In her article title "Sacred Hearts" she explained
how she used hearts as a healing tool following
the death of her brother.
These beautiful hearts really touched me, they
are so full of meaning - love, loss and reconciliation.

I aspire to follow in Caterina's footsteps
and one day create pieces from the heart too.

Fingers and toes crossed and best of luck
to everyone who enters!!!

Hello Jane,
I didn't know Caterina. Indeed, what she does is beautiful. Are you taking her transfer class? It looks very interesting and exhaustive. I would have loved to join. Next time.... I very much enjoy your blog... and the "Provence" fabrics you bought are gorgeous. You now have to show us the finished quilt!!!!

I also visit Caterina's blog and thought how much fun it would be to do the transfer class.
Her work is amazing and love seeing what she is doing.
I wonder how the quilt is going?

Happy Sunday.
