Mary often has interesting recipes to share.
Recently she made healthy Carrot & Raisin Muffins
her recipe came from Mennonite Girls Can Cook here.
These muffins were a huge success - thank you dear Mary!
On Sunday we drove to Maraetai
we stopped for a coffee at the local cafe
and sat and watched families having fun at the beach.
We drove home via Clevedon through beautiful farmland.
It's always good to escape the city for a few hours!
Apart from working this week
I've been busy planning our next trip
which includes time with my family in this
little village in France. I can't wait!
I'm leaving you with the little message above
so make the most of
TODAY
you have only one chance - it won't happen again!
I'm linking to Amy for Five on Friday
Take care and
be kind to one another
Merci à bientôt

May you have a beautiful weekend. Hugs!
Thanks for the heads up dear Shane. Your muffins look really professional in those adorable pleated paper cups, I've never seen any like that. Glad they were enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteAgain, I have to say how happy I am knowing you will be heading over to France again this year - hard to believe it's two years since you saw the girlies - what a wonderful reunion that that will be.
What a sweet 'today' message - you know how much I love the birds - I'll be showing more from the garden soon! They certainly seem to love our cottage this winter, probably because we are being really generous with the food during this awfully cold weather!
Happy weekend dearest - have a fun time.
Love, Mary
Thanks for the reminder to appreciate every moment. Love Mary's blog and those muffins did look delicious.

And especially your upcoming trip is the BEST. We have looked forward to 64 of such trips for seeing Mom and Dad and often the time leading up to the very moment is as precious as the actual visit.
Stay well and enjoy your summer.
Hugs,
Mariette

ReplyDeleteHello Shane! I am glad you enjoyed the carrot raisin muffins -- aren't they delicious? I made them once, but mine did not turn out as well as Grandma Mary's -- haha! I adore these beautiful photos of your mother on the sidebar on the right, and I even clicked on one of them and read your Mother's Day post from 2013! Your family photos are stunning, what a gorgeous and stylish woman your mother was. I am excited to continue following your blog, as I've subscribed to it! I hope you have a lovely week. xx Cassie
