Hello dear friends
I thought it was time for an
update on the Christmas stockings
I made for the girls.
As you can see this is
Stella's
she's our 'pink fairy'!!
I added some tiny pearls
to the Angel's wings
Aren't her 'Mary Jane' shoes
so sweet
and added a 'Grandpa'
embellishment too!
Darling Zoé is a red girl
I added tiny bronze/gold beads
to her angel's wings
with little stars on the tips.
We all love angel's with
stars don't we!!!!
Red angel has little stars
on the bottom of her skirt
and....
she has black Mary Jane's!
A little yacht to remind
her of Dada (Granpapa).
some shepherds and a
Grandma embellishment!
Thank you dear friends
for popping in to see me,
especially those of you
who pop in often
and leave me such sweet comments!
Take care
and be kind to one another.
Hugs and love
Shane xox

So sweet and each so fully of special meaning. These are bound to become heirlooms!
ReplyDeleteYour stockings are adorable! They look like Shepherd's Bush patterns to me... I haven't cross-stitched in about 20 years but just recently bought one of her patterns and am itching to get started.
ReplyDeleteYours are so beautiful and I love the addition of the little pearls etc.
Beautiful work!
These are delightful, so beautifully done and I love how you have tailored made them to each of your beautiful grandchildren!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your visit to my blog and believe it or not, yet Burgundy is a big place but yes it was the Morvan we were. I bet your family will have loved it there, it is so beautiful! It must be hard for you to be so far away from them all, but I guess it makes the visits even more special. I'm a bit in the same boat, my first grand child will be born in October in Australia and I live in the UK, so I have learnt already how hard these good byes are....
Oops, sorry for all the typos, it is still early morning here, I think I need my coffee....
ReplyDeleteLovely embroidery!
ReplyDeleteThanks for following me at Delights of the Heart.
Love all things French and have visited there three times.
Also have visited New Zealand many years ago for the National Woolcraft Festival.
