Touches of Red

My eye is always drawn to red

I love red touches in decorating

and as accessories like a pashmina

or these burgundy suede brogues.

Are you partial to touches of red too?

  4. There's a bit of red in every room in the house - even in the blue and yellow bedroom. I believe that every room needs a touch of black and a touch of red.

  5. I am definitely drawn to red and have small touches around my house. I love seeing white homes in decorator magazines, but then I do believe I would miss those touches of red.

  8. These brogues look comfortable and beautiful too. This kind of red I also like to use but not too much, it's just the touch to make the whole picture complete, simply beautiful.

  10. Dear Shane,
    I love red too.
The walls in my kitchen are bordeaux red, formerly my dining room was, now it is painted in Schönbrunn Yellow (in that rrom the sun always shines), the living room once ws red painted too.
I´ve got red skirts, coats, shirts, red roses in my garden, my house is painted red like the houses in Sweden. So you see, red is one of my favourite colours.
Scientists found out, that a person in a red painted room thinks that it is warmer there than maybe in a blue or green one. Red is the colour of heat and fire and I do love red fruits and vegetable like strawberries, cherries, tomatoes and pepper.
But, I don´t like red shoes. Don´t know why.

Have a wonderful evening, hugs Barbara

  12. I don't think I have any red in my home decorating! Kind of a surprise to me, but I'm looking around and see nothing. I have more muted tones like burgundy. We once bought a couch and ordered it in red, but when I got home and looked around I said "what were we thinking, it won't match anything!!". We went right back and ordered it in burgundy instead ;) I do like that pashmina!

  14. My eye is always drawn to red. While I wouldn't want it all red, pops of red make everything look better--especially a photograph. Have you ever noticed, such as in a family photo, if you have someone wearing red, the picture looks better?

  15. Love all your red things. We are starting to see a few red rooms again. Finally...it makes such a warm room to have red walls.

  17. Dearest Shane,
Yes, I too love touches of red; when I'm in the mood for wearing them. A red belt, handbag, shoes, hat...some jewelry in red.
It belongs to a woman's wardrobe I guess!
    Sending you hugs,
    Mariette

  20. The red pashmina looks lovely, but I confess that I'm not very attracted to red. Tiny bits, sometimes, mostly at Christmas, but not in my garden or my usual decor. That said, I do admire it when other people use it.
