Goats in Moulin en Tan France

More pics from our afternoon with the girls at
Moulin en Tan.
The day was hot - the temperature was in the high 30's.

The goats seemed quite happy lazing in the sunshine
showing no interest in climbing posts this day!

The two white doves showed more sense
resting in the shade of the tree.

  9. I have never understood why goats and horses refuse to get up under the shade tree. My horses will stand out in the blazing sun, when they have perfectly good shade just a few feet away. You are right- the birds are smarter!

Well how about that! Today we are both sharing Goat posts - it's so funny! I love those beautiful goats you visited! Do you know the breed?
It is shearing day here for our little goat family and I just adore goats especially the ones that give us fibres!!!

It would be lovely to see you enrol into my class!

  18. Dearest Shane,
Goats can be so funny and playful.
They feel happy and don't mind the sunshine. In many countries they had to labor hard in the old days, carrying the marble and stone up the mountains for construction.
    Sending you hugs,
    Mariette

  19. Visiting goats is popular with children all over the world, it seems. Last weekend we took two of ours to the local Children's Farm where they can pet the goats and comb their hair. It's a lot of fun.
The hot day would sap one's energy, indeed.

  21. They are cute little goats, Shane, and I'm sure the girls enjoyed seeing them. But temperatures in the high 30s, that is a bit much! I always imagine France being gently cool :) The white doves are beautiful, always a sign of peace. Happy weekend. xox

  23. I grew up on a farm and had lots of different animals, but we never had any goats. I always wanted one because I thought they were so cute (still do!).
