A Summer Bouquet

My cousin came for dinner this week
and brought me this beautiful
Summer bouquet
from her garden.

I know we all love to receive flowers
and these are some of my favourites
roses
dahlias
asters
and hydrangeas

My garden is looking rather sparse
as we have had long hot dry spells
with water restrictions
and weeks of punishing winds
which plays havoc on my garden.

So this bouquet was a most welcome gift
and quickly became the focus on my
coffee table.

I hope this post will add a
little ray of sunshine to your day!

I'm sharing this post at these blog parties
Liz for Fresh Cut Friday
Karen for Sunlit Sunday

  Thank you for visiting
and leaving your kind comments!

Merci à bientôt
be kind to one another!

It is truly a gorgeous bouquet, and your photos, though beautiful, I feel probably don't do them justice. It was a ray of sun and it is snowing again in northern Indiana USA.

Hi, I'm just now visiting for GYB and will go shortly to the proper post to leave a comment there--but before that, I just want to say how lovely your photos for today's post are. You really made the most of the bouquet you received--I especially like the collage you created--very, very nice.

How pretty! Flowers always brighten the day and these are especially gorgeous. Maybe that's because I haven't seen any fresh flowers for several months now! Thanks for sharing your lovely photos.

Your cousin must be Susie Quaife and her wonderful gardens.

I remember being so impressed with the hydrangeas that just seemed to be growing wild along the sides of the roads when we were in New Zealand. That started my love for hydrangeas and I have since planted some.
