Hark the Herald Angels Sing

Wishing you all a very
HAPPY CHRISTMAS.
Christmas day has dawned
in New Zealand.
An advantage of living where I do
is we are one of the first countries
in the world to see the new day...

My 'alternative' Christmas tree hangs on the wall
above the nativity set. Most of the decorations were made by
Marie of Lost Bird Studio last year and I was
lucky to win them in her Giveaway.

It is raining....
I'm happy as my garden is very dry
and will appreciate a good drink!!

...but there will be many disappointed families here
who had planned on having a
Christmas barbecue outdoors in the sunshine.
Maybe the skies will clear later.

The angel at the top of my pine Christmas tree
was a gift last year from Dorthe of Den Lille Lade
thank you again dear Dorthe!

Thank you all, my dear friends
for your friendship
over the past year!

Merci à bientôt
be kind to one another!

  19. Shane, hope the sun came out later for the barbecue aficionados - meanwhile your garden must have enjoyed the rain.

Hope these holidays were lovely - they are such a lot of work and then gone so quickly. Loved your decor BTW. I'm considering when to start taking down - I love all the pretties but know I'll soon want to return to normal with less to dust!

We are planning to clean out the upstairs office soon - which is really a bedroom but became Bob's home office for many years - then have old textured ceiling scraped, paint everything, new carpet, and buy new lighter furniture which we can actually move around to clean behind. Life has to get easier from hereon - the days of lifting heavy oak are over!! IKEA makes OK things which are easy to move and inexpensive - that's what I'm going for in that room.......even though it doesn't look French, LOL!!!

OK love, sending New Year blessings - may 2014 be full of happiness, good health, and spending time with sweet little girls along the way!

Love and hugs, your pal Mary

  21. I've been enjoying my browse through your blog. A lovely spot to visit (and all the way from New Zealand... a long, long way from where I live in Alberta, Canada).

Thanks so much for visiting me. I look forward to getting to know you more in 2014.

Here's wishing you glimpses of heaven in unexpected places today and all through the coming New Year.
