A beautiful village in France

Hello dear friends
we have had two beautifully warm and sunny
Spring days in a row - long may it continue!

It's Monday so I'm joining
Mary for her party

I'm taking you back to France
to wander with me through one of
the top most beautiful villages there called
Noyers
(Noyers-sur Serein)
in Burgundy.

It was one of those languid days
we all remember from our childhood....
hot and sunny with bees buzzing about the flowers
collecting  nectar....
the kind of day you wish would never end!

This walk was a feast of photo opportunities,
from the beautiful old 14th century buildings
to charming little gardens
and some unexpected touches in between
as  there always are in these villages.

We were escorted for part of our walk
by this friendly little cat
much to the delight of my
granddaughters!

I'm looking everywhere for a basket like this
to hang in my courtyard!

and of course I fell in love with this cute little Renault
and wanted to bring it home with me!

Please pop over to Mary's
she is a very accomplished photographer,
it's her business as well as her hobby.

Thank you for popping in here and leaving
your sweet comments!

Merci à bientôt!

Shane

  1. I love France - even though I have only visited once - but I remember fondly the days spent with our French friends in southern France.
So thank you for your post. I must dig out my basket that looks a bit like this one and put in some potted colour.
Have a wonderful week. I am joining you through Mosaic Monday.

  3. Seeing your sunny photos and reading your description of a walk in the Summer sunshine through a beautiful French village was very cheering on this dull, wet day here in England. The basket of
    plants is very pretty.

  4. I have to say the blue Renault in the center of the mosaic finished it off perfectly. That blue caught my eye immediately. genie

  5. Shane,

So well said! Yes, there is always something sweet and unexpected in the tiniest of villages in France, but also here on Crete, and I'm sure in every little village on the planet! Beautiful mosaic! Is that wonderful building a private home or some kind of establishment? And, that Renault is a SMART car, indeed; love the colour!

Thanks for sharing all the loveliness of la belle France!

  19. I always love a visit to France, even with a cat walking along with us. The basket, I use to have one similar to that one. I used it for a mailbox and loved it.
