My laptop is in hospital....

Hello everyone!

Just when I recovered from jet lag
and began to feel human again
I decided to sort my photos and do a new post....

Sadly that wasn't to be as
my laptop nearly died...
she's now in the
computer hospital
undergoing tests
and then will be operated on - or not
depending on what the specialist decides...

I'm a total wreck!
For three days I've had no access
to the internet so I haven't been able to visit you!
Has this happened to you
and did you have withdrawal feelings too!

I should hear by tomorrow
what the diagnosis is.

My dear son has lent me his laptop
today just so I could put you all in the picture!

Meantime I'm cleaning my house
(surely you are blinded by the sparkle!)
and trying to find my garden
among the weeds.

I can't wait to share more photos with you
and get into the swing of
blogging life again!

À bientôt

be kind to one another

Shane

  2. Oh Shane I am so sorry to hear this news - I hope your laptop will soon be feeling much better!!! Yes I am appalled to admit that when our internet crashes or jams (as it frequently does) I feel like I am missing a limb ... I never thought I would ever get like this but I am being honest here :-) Take care & I look forward to your next post - hugs, Julie x0x

  4. Dearest Shane,
Oh my! For me living without no Internet is like being amputated from family and friends as we mostly do chat via FB or Skype...
    Wishing you good luck.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  5. Oh Dear Shane
Just when you want to really sort photos and post this happens!!! Perhaps you just need to rest a little longer until your companion arrives back home all well!
I have to admit I couldn't live without back up as invariably it will happen! I have learnt the hard way!
Thanks for your sweet email dear friend and will write soon!
    Sending hugs and love,
    Suzy♥

  6. Dear Shane,

So sorry to hear about your computer and hope you have it back again soon.
It is awful when you are without one.
Love the picture of the little village - how quaint and wonder is that the place, where your daughter lives?

Sending hugs and hope you are back soon. Enjoy your Thursday

  8. Yes, anytime I am out of the picture for a week or more, it's computer troubles. We really do love to be connected. Hope that you get an encouraging word and that your photos are all safe!

  9. Sorry to hear of your computer problems Shane. That hasn't happened to me yet although being on holiday and not having much time to blog has put me into withdrawal! :) I've got some time this evening to visit around a few blogs and I've posted a few times but too busy otherwise. I hope you get your computer back soon. Pam

  10. What was it like before we had internet??? When things like this happen, it makes me remember the days when we had pen pals from all over the world, and would patiently wait for an airmail letter to arrive weeks after we sent ours. I do hope that you can get your computer back real soon so that we can see your photos.

  12. How disappointing to be unable to use your computer just when you would like to
share about your wonderful time away. Hope you're having fun with your local friends and I'm sure your house is sparkling! Looking forward to your news very soon! x

  14. Several bloggers I know seem to be having computer problems lately - and it's all so frustrating to say the least. We are awaiting more on your fabulous trip to visit the family, and we'll continue until you are up and running again dear.

Hope all will be well soon - meanwhile keep weeding and polishing - staying busy always helps with frustration at things we can't really change. Leave it to the 'tech docs' and hopefully no major surgery, or huge 'medical bills' will be required!!

Looking forward to you swinging back here soon Shane.
    Hugs - Mary

  15. Dear Shane, I can only feel with you, as I know how hard it is when our computer are not working !!!
As Liz said , what did we do before--for one thing we had more time to do other things, but not so many dear friends , which I would surely not want to loose !!
I hope your friend will soon be back working, in the meantime rest and we will be here when you return dear friend.
    Hugs,Dorthe

  17. Oh no ... my laptop was in the computer hospital last week suffering from a very nasty virus, the only thing left needing stitches though was the hole in my purse afterwards... Hope all well soon ~ Sarah x

  19. Thank you all for your understanding - it's extremely frustrating for me.
It's far too expensive to fix my old laptop so I'm off to visit a computer shop today to pick their brains.
I would dearly love an ipad but I don't think I can blog with it.
If anyone knows please get back to me, my email is on the top R/H cnr of my blog.
Take care, hopefully I'll be back in action later this week...
    Hugs
    Shane

  20. Dorthe said it all, blogging connects us all. I would be lost not knowing what you all are up to. You mean that much to me.
