An Autumn Walk

We are so lucky to have Cornwall Park
on our doorstep.

It is quite unusual - as this is a working farm
as well as a recreational park
in the centre of a city of 1.5 million people.

125 hectares is fenced off  for the
Simmental cattle

 and Perendale sheep

City children can experience a taste of
country living without leaving the city.

The park has a series of seasonal events
all through the year and everything is free.

There are sheep shearing displays
guided archaeologocal walks
art displays
school holiday activities
and much, much more.

Today I'm joining Mary for
please do visit her blog to see some
great photo mosaics.

À bientôt

be kind to one another

Shane

  5. Good Afternoon Shane, What a lovely way to spend the afternoon.
Looking at the photographs you imagine these scenes are in the country. I love how the cow posed for you..... or was she being inquisitive .... I wonder.

  14. What a great place for a walk, Shane. I did a bit of a double take when I saw the title "An Autumn Walk" but knew it had to be from someone in the southern hemisphere. I hope you are enjoying the change of season.

  22. One of the things I love most about blogging is knowing that I have friends around the world who are celebrating the arrival of autumn as I celebrate the arrival of spring. How I love sheep -- that would be my perfect walk!
